Huge Tarantula Arrives In The Mail

A man in Bristol, England, received an interesting package in the mail after moving into his new home – a huge spider!
The Brazilian Salmon Pink Birdeater, one of the world’s largest spiders, arrived at the house in a box marked ‘Return to Sender.’ They are known to be aggressive with 2.5cm fangs and can shoot toxic barbed hairs from their bodies which can cause blindness.
The spider was supposed to be returning to the previous owner of the house and the parcel had been travelling within the postal system for about 3 weeks without being opened.
The spider was taken to a vet who says it was ‘very unwell’ and ‘showing signs of dehydration.’ The mould from the bedding inside the box had caused a lot of the hair on the spider’s stomach to fall out and the vet was surprised that it even survived.

Worlds Longest Baguette

The Guinness World Record for the longest baguette has been set in Milan, Italy.
The 122 metre long baguette was baked at the Milan Expo 2015 World’s Fair. More than 60 French and Italian bakers worked 7 hours to break the record.
The bakers fed the bread through a portable oven by moving the heat along the length of the baguette. It took about an hour to bake 20 metres of the bread and bakers were force outside to hold the dough straight and avoid breakage as each section was baked.
This is at least the 4th world record set at the Expo this year, including a pizza that is 1.5954km long! The Expo runs for 6 months and is due to end on October 31st
